The Fishing Experience
Our 2½ acre specialist carp lake has been carefully developed to create the ideal environment for both fish and anglers. With depths ranging from 4 to 8.5 feet and a varied lakebed of gravel, clay and silt, the lake offers a rich and natural habitat where carp can thrive.
Stocked with mirror, common, koi and grass carp, Watersmeet is home to some truly impressive fish, with specimens reaching up to 47lb. Whether you’re a seasoned carp angler chasing a personal best or newer to the sport, the lake offers consistent opportunity, excitement and the chance to land something special.

Every aspect of the lake has been considered with anglers in mind. From well-positioned swims to natural features such as overhanging branches along the margins, the layout creates a variety of productive spots and encourages a thoughtful, rewarding approach to fishing.

A Lake Reimagined
What you see today is the result of years of dedication, restoration and genuine passion. Since taking ownership, Watersmeet has undergone extensive renovations, including draining the lake, removing silt, repairing leaks, installing a new monk and increasing depth to improve both fish health and angling conditions. Every step was taken with long-term quality in mind.
As of February 2026, we’re proud to be entering our second full season open - a huge milestone after years of hard work behind the scenes. What started as a vision has become a fully rejuvenated, thriving carp lake, ready to be enjoyed by both returning anglers and those discovering Watersmeet for the first time. It’s more than just fishing - it’s a place to slow down, reconnect and experience carp fishing exactly as it should be.
